About Me
Photographer, environmental researcher, author, web designer and consultant. My photography is intended to celebrate wild places and to tell the story of connection between people and Place. I am interested in the power of images to tell stories and as a critical dimension to the art of story telling. As a writer and blogger, my major passion is combining photography and writing in the medium of the Photo Essay.
A photographer for over 35 years, I have always attempted to express whatever my most recent projects might be with photo imagery; be it as an adjunct to my 20 plus years as a pioneer in the field of ecological economics (one time Director of an international Ecological Economics research centre), as a researcher and consultant to the beekeeping industry, and as a certifiably obsessive cyclist.
In more recent times, I have moved to devote myself entirely to web design, writing and photography.
Much of my photography is concentrated in and around the spectacular, untamed Eastern Falls gorges of the Australian New England Tablelands World Heritage Area. To explore these wild places is a project for 100 life times…There are few places left on earth as unspoilt, free and spectacular as this!
